Katie Abbott commissioned these mugs as a present to those attending her Pause Place ‘The Art Of Space Holding’. She founded Pause Place in 2016, dedicated to the strength of love, presence and connection. Each year, the Pause Place Practitioner Training takes place live in London, along side other retreats and workshops both in the UK and abroad. Prior to this, Katie worked as a therapist from 1 Harley Street for 12 years.

The ceramic pieces made for this gathering are taken away by those who attend, scattered geographically. The cups offer a tangible reminder of an experience that is hard to describe, a way of being so uncommon that it feels unreal.

“The energy that is generated when we gather together is impossible to put into words but if there is a resonance, there is nothing quite like it.

Expect poetry, devotion, silence, spontaneity, grace, beauty, love, presence and connection.

Your body, heart, soul and mind will begin to sense into the structure, the rhythm, the power and the dignity, that lays in your hands.

Next year, 2026 will be Pause Place’s 10 year anniversary. For the last 10 years, I have been holding spaces for groups. Making space for transformation to happen both within and without.’
